Privacy policy

Overview

Pino ("we", "our", "the app") is a location-based marker application that lets you save, organize, and share places. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Data we collect

Pino collects and stores the following types of data:

• Location data: Coordinates (latitude/longitude) of markers you create. This data is stored locally on your device by default.
• Account information: If you sign up for Pro, we store your email address and authentication credentials via our authentication provider.
• Marker content: Names, notes, photos, and metadata you attach to markers.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the app experience.

Local storage

By default, all your markers and collections are stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync (Pro feature) or share a link.

Cloud sync (Pro)

If you subscribe to Pino Pro, your data is synced to our cloud infrastructure powered by Supabase. This enables backup, cross-device sync, and collaboration features. Cloud data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Shared links

When you create a share link for a marker or collection, the shared data becomes accessible to anyone with the link. You can revoke share links at any time. Share links have optional expiration dates.

Third-party services

Pino uses the following third-party services:

• Mapbox: Map rendering in the mobile app. Subject to Mapbox Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Authentication and cloud database for Pro users. Subject to Supabase Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Subscription management. Subject to RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Google Play: App distribution and payments. Subject to Google Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Local data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud data (Pro) is retained while your subscription is active and for 30 days after cancellation. You can request full data deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we store about you
• Export your data (GeoJSON, CSV)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Revoke shared links at any time

Children's privacy

Pino is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or via email.
